There's so much information out there on the internet about starting a blog that it can feel like a fire hose aimed right at your face. The ProBlogger's Ultimate Guide to Starting a Blog course was so helpful to break down all the necessary information into very manageable units that I could watch and read until I was ready to move on to the next step. It's a shockingly comprehensive and helpful course for being free! I'd absolutely recommend it!

The email list section was the best part for me. I've heard people talk so much about the importance of having a great email list, but never fully understood its purpose. After looking through that section, and getting set up on Mailchimp, I realize how amazing of a tool the email list actually is.

Starting a blog was a bit overwhelming at first. Signing up and completing ProBlogger's Ultimate Guide to Starting a Blog, I was able to learn valuable information on how to start a successful blog. The best thing about the course, in my opinion, is the detailed information about email lists and how they can help you build a positive relationship with readers, who can become regular customers who seek your advice and could potentially buy products. The course was very informative and I would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to launch a blog.

This course will help a new blogger release the feeling of overwhelm. Darren and his team have crafted a detailed yet simple method of how to get started by breaking down the important areas of focus. I would recommend this to anyone who is starting out for the first time.

Wow! So many great things! It was structured in a very simple, easy to follow way. You literally walked us through every step necessary. You helped remove some of the fear and having the FB Beta group was so great because we could all help each other, get feedback (so helpful when you are starting out) and ask you guys questions. It was really a nice bonus to have that as a support system. I will be launching my blog on Feb. 7th with a host of others and I am so grateful for all of the great insights! Thank you!

The very first sentence of Step 1,"I don’t believe that every person should have a blog", made me believe that the team is genuine and honest. So I gave it a try. Among all the useful content Darren and his team have provided for FREE, I appreciated the questionnaire "Is a Blog Right For You?" the most as it made me think in depth and set me in the right direction. After answering to every single question, I had more confidence and was able to enjoy the other steps.

Love the way Darren breaks down a pretty overwhelming process into basic steps. The course is fantastic in covering all the basics, but it also allows you to “mark complete” any sections you feel you already are familiar with. LOVE the fact that he tells you why something is important and also helps you set priorities for what to do first, second, third.

The number one thing I got out of the course is that it motivated me to just START! Having blogged in the past, I wasn't completely clueless about what blogging entails. I was even quite familiar with WordPress. But I kept coming up with excuses that prevented me from starting. I'm a perfectionist. The course gave me some "to-dos" that were simple and, with each task I completed, I knew I was one step closer to actually doing this "for real". Knowing that a bunch of others were in the same boat also helped because I felt like we were supporting each other and cheering each other on. The February 7th launch date also motivated me to just get it done. Having a deadline was something tangible to work toward rather than having an "I'll-do-it-eventually" mindset.

The best thing about the ProBlogger course has been the motivation to take action and get started. The course provided the technical steps of domains and themes and hosting, blended with the personal reasoning and logic behind the purpose of creating the blog. It was a very helpful balance that enabled me to take several steps forward!!! Thanks so much!

The best thing were the questions under the beginning lessons, which posed questions that must be considered and thoroughly vetted in order to establish the strong foundation necessary to create a long-term, sustainable blog. (i.e. Should I even blog? Why am I blogging? What will be my niche? How will I help others?)

The best part of the course is its content. The next best part is the support and deadline. Thank you for all the encouragement given at #ask and #tip. Finally, thank you to Darren and Laney and the rest of the team for your quality work and advice.

I knew I was going to start my blog, no matter what. But it definitely would not have been done as quickly, as professionally, and as proactively as it was, if not for Darren, the team at ProBlogger, and this course! Thanks to them, I was able to move through the process in manageable steps and also with an eye for the future...doing things right from the start. I've received so many compliments on how my site looks and on my launch which I credit to this course. I have a long way to go to grow my blog and audience, but thanks to this course I feel excited, positive, and grounded in the journey. Thank you!

I love how straightforward and simple the course is--I had already learned many of these tips by listening to Darren's podcast but this course reminded me of some key steps in launching my blog (such as securing the name of social media accounts even if I don't plan on being active on every platform!) ProBlogger has given me the knowledge--and confidence--to launch my blog and give this a real shot!

Hi Darren, Thanks so much for this course. I recently just finished catch up on all 240 podcast episodes and found this course to be a great crystallization of the fundamental things I needed to get my blog launched. It's up and running and there are still lots of things I need to do, but waiting is over. You cut through all the side distractions and gave me what I needed to get going! Thanks so much! Mike

I found very useful chapter 7 regarding the launching and bonus chapters about the importance of building a mail list and focusing on 1-2 social media.

The best thing about this course is that it gives you EVERYTHING you need to actually start a blog (rather than just continuing to think about it)! Thanks ProBlogger 🙂

The best thing about ProBlogger's Ultimate Guide to Starting a Blog course is that is has given me the tools to get back into blogging. It also came at a time that as a family we are starting a new business and learning the blogging fundamentals now with the growth of social media removes all the stress of not knowing where to start and how to keep the flow of content consistent. Thank you, Darren and the ProBlogger team for sharing this FREE course. I hope it will stay in the courses section for a while so I can refer back to it when I become stuck.

Thank you Darren and the team at problogger. I truly benefitted from this course and it gave me the encouragement and step by step process I needed to finally bite the bullet and start my blog. The best thing about the course was that I always felt taken care of. Each step was easy to understand and never left me feeling like I had dumb questions or should know more than I actually did. I also really appreciated the community on Facebook where I had a chance to interact with others in the same path as well as glean information and wisdom from those a step ahead of me and from probloggers experts. Thanks again.

I loved the essential foundation of "if starting a blog is right for you" and "narrowing down your niche". Those two topics are often neglected when talking about starting a blog, but they are most important! Having it spelled out so clearly for me, plus takeaways to help me dive deeper and explore, was the most valuable part of the course.

The best thing is emphasis to establish a CLEAR purpose as to WHY one should start a blog. My husband and I started our blog back in November of 2017 and published about 5-6 posts. It wasn't until we realized our true purpose that we realized we had it all wrong. In fact, we deleted almost all of our first posts because they were about US and not how we could help other people using our experiences. This is HUGE and I am so happy to find a course that emphasizes it because some of the courses we have taken do not speak much about this aspect. Thank you!
